How Can Belly Button Pain be Treated?

My huband has had belly button pain directly in the belly button for the past couple of days. Today it seems to be worse, hurts when he coughs or sits up from a laying position. There is no bulge as if it were a hernia, it s not red or swollen, looks normal.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I suspect he may be having appendicitis.

I think he has to do an abdominal ultrasound and a total blood count to help diagnosis. Treatment is done by surgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
